5 Days To Go...

One of the members (leela14) of the CruiseCritic.com message boards, who just returned from a cruise on the Jade, was kind enough to post pictures of her aft balcony cabin on Deck 8. As there are only two identical cabins on this deck that meet this description, this gives Libby and I a very exact idea of where we'll be living aboard the ship.

I asked her specifically about the attributes of the cabin. Given my questions, she noted that the noise from the engines and wake was noticeable. Motion (in moderate to rough seas) also tended to be greater than mid-ship balcony cabins. The trade-off, however, is the spectacular view that the aft balcony affords. On balance, I think this will be very pleasant for us.
